Our Story
Our Academy is a high performance programme aimed at the top young cricketers in London. Children will be invited to talent ID trials in December and squads of 20 are chosen at all age groups from under U8s to under 18s.
Children will receive unparalleled high quality elite weekly training led by our esteemed Director of Cricket, Ketan Garg alongside the highest qualified coaching team in the UK. Each child will receive bespoke player development plans and take part in a high quality match play programme in the Summer too. We provide a holistic approach to elite coaching including technical and video analysis, strength and conditioning, psychology, nutrition and yoga.
We aim to:
Create a talent pipeline of players with desired attributes for the LCCA High Performance Pathway programme.
To create a sense of belonging for all children.
To provide a bespoke pathway all players into multiple exit routes of schools, Premier League Clubs, Minor/Major Counties, Universities and overseas franchise teams.
LCCA builds on the proud history of the London Cricket Club and London County Cricket Club, reimagined to serve today’s young cricketers. Meet Our Team
Ketan Garg
Ketan Garg, a former Indian first-class cricketer, began his career at just 18, debuting for Arunachal Pradesh. He was part of the Delhi Capitals camp squad in 2019, showcasing his skill and dedication to the game. Now an ECB-qualified Level 2 coach, Ketan specializes in batting and shares his expertise as a coach at Fulham Cricket Club. Additionally, he serves as Hub Supervisor and Coach at Platform Cricket and is the MCC Foundation Hub Manager for Hammersmith (2023), mentoring the next generation of cricketers with passion and precision.
Gagan Dissanayake
.Gagan Dissanayake brings passion and expertise to the game, drawing from his rich cricketing journey that began in Sri Lanka at the age of 10. A key player for Broxbourne Cricket Club in the Hertfordshire Saracens Cricket League Championship Division, Gagan combines on-field experience with a deep commitment to coaching.
An ECB Level 3 qualified coach, Gagan excels in developing young talents and refining the skills of adult players. As the Head Coach at Imperial College and a mentor at Broxbourne CC, his philosophy centers on pushing players beyond their limits to achieve excellence. With a proven track record of preparing athletes to thrive under pressure, Gagan is dedicated to helping every player unlock their full potential.
Chander Kaul
Chander Kaul is a former Indian international cricketer with an illustrious career, having represented India in 5 Tests and 31 ODIs between 1993 and 2000, including captaining the team in 1999. A skilled right-handed batter, she also played domestic cricket for Middlesex.
An ECB Level 3 certified coach with over 15 years of coaching experience, Chander is dedicated to nurturing young talent. She works closely with schools, colleges, universities, and clubs to develop impactful cricket programs, specializing in coaching players aged 5-15. With her goal-oriented approach and extensive experience, Chander is passionate about inspiring the next generation of cricketers.
Enamul
Haque Jr.
Enamul Haque Jr., a former international cricketer for Bangladesh, represented his country in both Test and One Day formats. He currently leads cricket at NewVic College and is a Specialist Spin Coach at CFS Cricket Academy in London. Enamul also serves as Head Coach for London Eagle Cricket Club, Spin Coach at Roehampton Cricket Academy, and Coach at Safe Skill Cricket Academy. Additionally, he is the Youth and Engagement Officer for Grassroots Trust, dedicating himself to nurturing young talent and promoting cricket at all levels
Radha Marripati
Radha Marripati is a distinguished professional cricketer with a stellar domestic career representing Hyderabad in List A cricket and various age-group competitions. A world-record holder for the highest score in T20 cricket in India, Radha is a dynamic top-order batter and a skilled medium-pace bowler. With over five years of experience in player strategy and performance management, Radha has guided players through tailored practice plans, fitness goals, and mental conditioning. Currently based in the UK, Radha has continued to excel, becoming one of the top scorers in the last two seasons and earning an ECB Level 2 coaching qualification. Now a Digital Subscription Manager at MCC and a coach with LCCA, Radha is passionate about transferring knowledge and inspiring the next generation of cricketers with a blend of technical expertise and game awareness
Anthony De Mel.
Anthony De Mel is one of our senior lead coaches, bringing a wealth of experience to both the performance and participation pathways at the club. A fully qualified ECB cricket coach, Anthony has coached across all levels, from club cricket to junior county programs, showcasing his exceptional ability to work with players of all ages.
With 15 years of teaching experience at Sussex House, Anthony combines his coaching expertise with a strong educational background. He is also a qualified football and rugby coach, fully certified in first aid and safeguarding, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every player.
Anthony’s dedication to developing talent and his adaptable coaching style make him an invaluable part of the team.
Omar Green
Omar Green is a highly experienced ECB Level 3 coach with over 15 years of expertise across all ages and levels of cricket. As a senior coach on the ACE Programme and a key contributor to the Surrey Performance Programme, Omar’s dedication to nurturing talent is unmatched.
With a background in Sports Science (Bachelor's and Master’s degrees) and a PGCE specializing in Physical Education, Omar combines his academic knowledge with practical coaching expertise. Featured in The Guardian Teaching 100 (2021) for his commitment to children’s health and well-being, he focuses on creating positive, skill-enriching experiences for players of all levels.
Soon to become a coach educator, Omar continues to inspire the next generation of cricketers while emphasizing the lifelong benefits of sport and movement.
Taaha Sule
Taaha Sulemanjee is a seasoned ECB Level 2 coach with over 10 years of experience mentoring players across all age groups. A former first-class cricketer with a distinguished career representing Kenya at the international level, Taaha brings a wealth of playing and coaching expertise to the LCCA team. Known for his ability to adapt coaching techniques to individual needs, Taaha specializes in fostering technical precision and mental resilience in his players. His deep understanding of the game, combined with a passion for player development, ensures every cricketer under his guidance gains the skills and confidence to excel. Dedicated to inspiring the next generation, Taaha’s professional approach and global cricketing experience make him a valued member of our coaching team.
Shabaz
Shahbaz is one of our talented young coaches with an ECB Level 2 qualification. A top-order batter and crafty off-spin bowler, he is renowned for his explosive, modern-day batting and consistent all-round performances, delivering runs and wickets season after season. As a former captain of the MCC Hammersmith Hub and a standout figure in grassroots cricket, Shahbaz brings valuable leadership and game experience to his coaching. With aspirations of securing a professional contract, he is deeply committed to sharing his knowledge and inspiring the next generation of cricketers to achieve their potential.
Shashi
Shashi Malik is a highly skilled cricket coach and strength and conditioning specialist with a rich background in professional cricket. An accomplished left-arm spinner, Shashi has represented Delhi in domestic cricket and honed her craft over years of competitive play.
With a passion for player development, Shashi focuses on improving both technical skills and physical fitness, ensuring her players excel on and off the field. Her expertise as a strength and conditioning coach adds a unique edge to her coaching, helping athletes enhance performance while maintaining peak fitness levels. As well as a level 2 coach, Shashi hold a masters in sports science and is a graduate coach of the National Fast Bowling Academy.
Shashi’s commitment to fostering talent and her comprehensive approach to coaching make her an invaluable asset to the LCCA team..
